Dear Bison Family Friends,
It is my great honor to welcome you back to our home for the 2013 Homecoming entitled, EPIC: The Saga Continues. This classic, annual celebration is near and dear to all Bison—past and present. For alumni, it is a time to reunite with old friends and reminisce on the once-in-a-lifetime experience that is attending our beloved institution. For present students, it is a chance to make new friends and establish lifelong memories. EPIC is the continuation of an impressively great legacy that has stood the test of time for 89 years. The homecoming celebration is a cornerstone of tradition for Howard University and is known worldwide for bringing together thousands, in addition to serving as a launching pad for some of our favorite entertainers. Most importantly, EPIC will reaffirm the heritage of Howard as the Mecca for academic excellence, social significance, and global change. On behalf of the entire 2013 Homecoming Steering Committee, we extend open arms to our alumni and hope that all our visitors have an experience here that will leave a lasting impression.

To President and First Lady Ribeau, Dr. Barbara Griffin, Mr. Keith Miles, Mrs. Lennon Jackson, and Mr. Wilson Bland: words cannot express how much your support of the Committee has meant throughout this overwhelming, yet wonderful journey. You all have not only supported us, but also guided and mentored us during this entire process, which has gotten us to this present, highly-anticipated moment. Needless to say, we are eternally grateful.

As Chairwoman of the 2013 Howard University Homecoming Steering Committee, it is my most genuine and sincere wish that everyone enjoys the world class caliber of entertainment that is in store. For so many years, our committee has delivered on the promise of a stellar homecoming celebration—and, as you should expect, EPIC will be no different.Welcome back to the Mecca!
